Assistant Manager - Graphic Design (Sunburn)

Your role
We are looking for an experienced and talented Graphic Designer to join our creative team the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing, conceptualizing, and delivering outstanding visual content that aligns with our brand identity and strategic goals. This role requires a strong creative vision, technical expertise, and the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Design and Creativity
- Develop innovative design concepts based on client briefs and project requirements.
- Translate ideas, messages, or brand identity into visually compelling and impactful designs.
- Provide creative solutions to meet project goals and deliver high-quality outputs.
Artwork Production
- Create high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts across print, digital, and social media.
- Design brand assets, including logos, packaging, marketing materials, and advertisements, ensuring brand alignment.
- Oversee the production process, ensuring designs meet technical specifications and project guidelines.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and guide the graphic design team to deliver exceptional work.
- Create and implement design concepts, strategies, and guidelines for various creative projects.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and contributions.
- Collaborate with marketing, business development, editorial, and other teams to develop cohesive designs.
- Manage feedback and art direction in a fast-paced, iterative design process.
Branding and Consistency
- Ensure all designs adhere to established brand standards and maintain visual consistency across all channels.
- Assist in evolving and maintaining a cohesive brand identity.
Technical Expertise & Trend Awareness
- Leverage advanced tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other design software for artwork creation.
- Ensure designs meet technical specifications for both print and digital formats, including resolution and color modes (CMYK).
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging design techniques.
- Innovate with new styles, tools, and methods to push creative boundaries.
Additional Responsibilities
- Monitor team performance and propose strategies for improvement.
- Review and ensure the accuracy and quality of artwork before release.
- Drive creative briefs and partnerships with internal teams for enhanced collaboration.
- Represent the design function in meetings and provide input for strategic decision-making.
Your Checklist
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in graphic design, with leadership or management exposure.
- Expertise in typography, color theory, branding, and layout design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, feedback-driven environments.
- A creative problem-solver with a keen eye for detail and quality.
