, ,As a Fundraiser, the candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's mission by securing funding and resources through various fundraising initiatives.
The candidate should take on the responsibility of a highly organised Fundraiser with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should possess a creative mind and the ability to explore new initiatives, work independently and innovatively to solve problems, have the capability to manage priorities within tight deadlines and operate at a fast pace whilst ensuring accuracy. The candidates efforts will directly contribute to the success and sustainability of our organization.
This role will be pivotal to the support of a core team and the successful candidate must be able to deal competently and professionally with all the key role requirements as mentioned below, however the job profile / role is not limited to the same.
Your Role:
- Researching grant-making organisations and applying for funding (Research individuals, corporations, and foundations to raise funds)
- Conduct thorough research to identify new funding opportunities and stay updated on current trends and practices in non-profit fundraising
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and grant-making organizations. (Business / HNI’s / UHNI’s / CSR / Corporates / Retail Alliances etc) to engage them to participate & donate in fundraising events & campaigns
- Write compelling grant proposals and fundraising proposals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives & donor requirements, pitch the same to prospective donors
- Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors
- To build & execute creative meetings and discussions to aid in development of key projects and campaigns for fundraising
- Create & execute end to end fundraising campaigns (Online / On ground) with corresponding execution timelines & budgets to solicit donations
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies (campaigns / events) to meet and exceed fundraising goals.
Types Of Fundraisers
(Not limited to the below)Plan and execute fundraising events, including galas, auctions, charity walks, and other campaigns, to generate funds and engage donors.
- Annual Fundraisers - Solicit donations once a year for their organization.
- Capital Campaign Fundraisers - Raise money for a specific project, such as the construction of new infrastructure. Capital campaigns also raise money for renovations and the creation or expansion of an endowment.
- Target Program Fundraisers - Specialize in face-to-face interaction with donors & organizations who can give large amounts towards a pre-decided cause
- Planned-Giving Fundraisers - Solicit donations from those who are looking to pledge money at a future date or in instalments over time.

Fundraiser Campaign Scope of Work
(Not limited to the below)Creatively design fundraising concepts & ideas
- Create a strong fundraising message that appeals to potential donors
- Strategize and successfully execute all aspects of the fundraising campaigns (Co-ordinating all event related activities – end to end)
- Meeting prospective donors to raise funds and securing donations towards the event / campaign
- Meeting prospective sponsors to raise & secure sponsorship amount towards the event / campaign
- Liaising with all related parties involved in event / campaign management & execution - Donors, Sponsors, Brand & Marketing Teams (Social Media, Written & Visual Content Creation) Design Team, Legal Teams, Vendors etc
- Execution & implementation of project activities to ensure that deadlines are met and activities produce quality outputs
- Trouble shoots problems and identifies & implements creative solutions
- Manage a budget and track whether fundraising goals of the event campaign are being met
- Evaluate the success of fundraising events & campaigns
Data maintenance, Legal & Reporting requirements
- Maintain a donor database, donor communications and contributions
- Drafting MOU’s & Contracts between BMSF & the donors (Business / HNI’s / UHNI’s / CSR / Corporates / Retail Alliances etc)
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, analysing outcomes, and making recommendations for improvement to maximize effectiveness
- Collaborate with the marketing, communications and other related teams to create and distribute fundraising materials, including appeals, newsletters, and annual reports
- Cultivate and steward relationships with existing donors, ensuring timely and personalized acknowledgements, updates, and impact reports.
Audits
- Develop monitoring and evaluation tools to ensure effective monitoring of fundraising events / campaigns
- Prepare & present quarterly & annual financial reports of all fundraising activities to the BMSF management for review
- Conduct quarterly progress meetings with the BMSF management
- Creating, Strategizing, implementing value adds for BMSF & liaising with key decision makers
Your Checklist:
- Experience in Fundraising (or similar role) - Proven experience in planning and executing successful fundraising events and campaigns, demonstrating creativity and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written & spoken English), with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate the organization's mission and fundraising needs
- Excellent creative & persuasive skills (written & spoken) and storytelling abilities, capable of crafting compelling grant proposals, fundraising appeals, and donor communications, while moving the organization closer to its financial goals
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
- A keen sense of initiative to spot fundraising opportunities.
- Good understanding of the Charity, CSR & Social sector, and its relationship with other sectors
- Well connected & networked with UHNI’s, HNI’s, Corporates, CSR Donors, Sponsors etc
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong research, budgeting, planning and analytical skills, capable of interpreting data and metrics to drive fundraising strategies and measure success
- Substantial administration experience within an office environment (including calendar management and scheduling)
- Full proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office software (Power Point, Excel & Word)
