At BookMyShow, integrity, sincerity, curiosity and talent are our key pillars and we are looking to bring on board a savvy PR professional for the role of Senior Executive - PR & Corporate Communications.

This person will play a role in supporting and executing the communication strategies for BookMyShow in India. You will work alongside the Communications head to develop and implement a strategic and impactful communications program to bring to the fore BookMyShow and its role in re shaping India’s entertainment ecosystem — spotlight success stories, create awareness of BookMyShow’s culture & value propositions, build & nurture strong media relationships, support key consumer and event launches, ideate on effective storytelling, news hooks for key business and leadership priorities, and build strong messaging and narratives using data and research to support consistent media engagement.

The role offers the opportunity to oversee key campaigns, run point on the media agency management, work with senior management and teams across the organisation both in India and globally, on new experiences, their launches and overall brand and business campaigns. The ideal candidate is a go-getter with rigorous attention to detail and an affinity for fast-paced environments. The candidate must be a self-starter who works well both independently and as part of a team.

Your Profile

  1. Assist in developing and executing communication strategy for BookMyShow to build and manage corporate and brand reputation
  2. Drive proactive communications programs and initiatives to support broader narratives to drive thought leadership for BookMyShow within the entertainment industry (India and global)
  3. Work closely with external PR agency to coordinate all activities on a day-to-day basis and drive impactful and effective results through earned coverage across traditional, social, digital media
  4. Spot and convert relevant opportunity areas for the brand to increase effective visibility in media; also collaborate cross functionally with internal teams to identify use of communications to support business needs and objectives
  5. Coordinate all PR related activities internally and externally and assist in managing all media requests
  6. Work closely with the agency to develop content for press releases, authored articles, presentations in line with BookMyShow’s communication objectives
  7. Drive and develop communications messaging and briefing documents for spokespersons for announcements, launches, and broader cross-functional efforts
  8. Assist in executing the corporate executive speaking program, media training and communications strategy for leadership over the longer term
  9. Be well informed of relevant industry forums and media events to seek opportunities for BookMyShow to be represented across all key stakeholder-facing forums; Use communications as an effective tool to further business goals
  10. Establish and build strong media relations (existing & new) to build opportunities for BookMyShow not just across traditional media but social and digital media and influencers alike; New and digital media expertise is an absolute must
  11. Ably support senior team for effective Crisis Communication management

Your Checklist

  1. A creative self-starter with 2-3 years of experience in working on multiple projects at the same time would be most suitable for this role
  2. Possess a high degree of integrity and a sense of confidentiality

  4. Affinity towards and understanding of media and business environment particularly in entertainment and consumer technology
  5. Well-developed and well-maintained relationships with media, journalists, bloggers and
    influencer communities
  6. Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  7. Strong organisational skills and an innate ability to multitask and prioritize
  8. Solid understanding of storytelling, PR planning and the implementation process
  9. Very strong project management and decision-making skills; can quickly learn and adapt,
    willing to get things done
  10. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  11. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and unstructured, deadline-oriented environment
  12. Demonstrate professional maturity and good judgment at all times
  13. The ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships at all levels
    is critical to this position
