You will be responsible for driving revenue by selling BookMyShow's digital advertising inventory (app and web) to movie production houses for the promotion of their upcoming films. This will be an individual contributor position and the role requires a sales-driven professional who can build media plans, pitch and negotiate deals with national, international, and regional production houses, and own the deal end-to-end — from planning and closure through execution, documentation, and payment collection.


Your Profile

  1. Design and develop media plans to sell BMS app and web inventory to movie production houses for upcoming film promotions.

  2. Build customized, revenue-optimized proposals aligned to each film's release timeline, target audience, and marketing objectives.

  3. Pitch, negotiate, and close digital media plans with national, international, and regional movie production houses.

  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with production houses, marketing teams, and media agencies to generate repeat and referral business.

  5. Coordinate end-to-end execution of closed plans, ensuring campaigns go live as committed.

  6. Liaise with operations, ad-ops, creative, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery against client commitments.

  7. Track campaign performance and proactively flag/resolve delivery gaps or escalations.

  8. Maintain an updated pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to the reporting manager.

  9. Track upcoming film release calendars and proactively identify sales opportunities.

  10. Stay updated on competitive digital advertising and entertainment marketing trends.

Your Checklist

  1. 6–9 years of experience in digital sales; experience in ad sales, media sales, or entertainment marketing preferred.

  2. Understanding of the movies and entertainment business is an advantage and preferred.

  3. Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field.

  4. Strong pitching, negotiation, and deal-closing skills with senior stakeholders.

  5. Ability to build data-backed, persuasive media plans and proposals.

  6. Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills (sales, operations, finance, creative).

  7. High attention to detail for contracts, agreements, and commercial documentation.

  8. Strong follow-through on collections and credit control.

  9. Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides); familiarity with CRM or sales-tracking tools is a plus.
