BookMyShow is India's largest entertainment platform and one of the country's most powerful engines for live experiences. From selling millions of movie tickets every week to producing and powering some of India's biggest concerts, festivals and sporting spectacles, we sit at the intersection of culture, scale and execution. Our live portfolio spans global IPs like Lollapalooza, world-class artists such as Coldplay and Ed Sheeran and mass-scale sporting phenomena like the Indian Premier League. We also build culture on the ground through TribeVibe, which delivers campus-led and community experiences across cities and through Sunburn, Asia's biggest EDM festival and a year-round platform shaping India's electronic music ecosystem. Since 2007, we've been redefining how India experiences entertainment — at scale, live and in the moment.

Key Responsibilities

Show & Production Ownership

  • Own end-to-end production delivery for all BMS Live Events shows — from advance planning through load-out — across stadium concerts, multi-day festivals, and multi-city touring legs.

  • Act as the single cross-functional POC on each show, bringing together Technical Production, Venue Construct, Infra & Logistics and Venue Operations into a unified, accountable delivery structure.

  • Lead show-day command operations: crew briefings, safety protocols, emergency escalation, real-time troubleshooting and gate-to-curtain command structure.

  • Establish and continuously improve production SOPs, playbooks and show-day runbooks for the organisation, ensuring consistency across 35+ annual events.

  • Partner with Project Managers on each show to ensure production delivery aligns with commercial, budget and operational goals.

Technical Production

  • Interpret and execute technical riders from global artists and agencies with precision — covering sound systems, lighting rigs, LED video walls, broadcast infrastructure, power distribution, etc.

  • Understand the distinction between mandatory and preferred rider element and brief unfamiliar local crew against international standards.

  • Maintain and grow relationships with India’s top professional production vendors; identify, qualify and onboard new vendors in touring cities with varying infrastructure.

  • Evaluate and oversee stage configurations, rigging plans and power layouts in close coordination with structural engineers and safety inspectors.

  • Champion the adoption of AI-assisted production tools — technical rider analysis, equipment checklists, show-day digital runbooks — across the production function.

Venue Construct & Site Operations

  • Oversee the build of the physical show environment — stages, barriers, structures, hospitality villages, artist compounds, entry infrastructure — across all event formats.

  • Manage advance teams in each touring city, ensuring one team can begin the next venue’s build while another is completing the current show’s load-out.

  • Read and validate venue drawings, AutoCAD layouts and spatial plans; provide production sign-off on crowd flow maps, stage positions and structural schematics.

  • Coordinate with local authorities, structural engineers and safety inspectors to obtain timely statutory and regulatory permissions per venue.

Infra, Logistics & Touring Operations

  • Manage intercity production logistics: equipment trucking between cities, power generation, temporary utilities and last-mile delivery to venues with unpredictable access conditions.

  • Oversee carnet management, import documentation, customs clearance and equipment insurance for international touring shows.

  • Conduct advance city visits for new touring venues — walking venues, mapping infrastructure gaps, briefing local security and production vendors before show teams arrive.

  • Manage overlapping show cycles where one city is in live operations while the next is already in advance production planning.

Safety & Crisis Management

  • Work in close coordination with the Safety, Security & Crisis Management team on all production decisions that impact crowd safety, site security and emergency preparedness.

  • Develop and implement show-specific emergency action plans; ensure all events comply with safety regulations and international crowd safety best practices.

  • Lead production-side crisis response on show day — real-time decisions to protect audience safety, artist experience and BMS brand reputation.

Budget & Financial Oversight

  • Own production cost accountability per show — vendor quotes, scope management, purchase orders and real-time cost tracking against approved budgets.

  •  Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising show quality or audience experience; flag scope creep and budget risk to the Head of Project Management early.

  • Provide post-show production cost reconciliation and structured learnings that feed into annual budgeting, vendor evaluation and investment decisions for future productions.

Technology & Reporting

  • Champion adoption of AI tools across the production function to improve visibility, accountability and efficiency.

  • Deliver regular production status updates, post-mortem analyses and show-day incident reports to the Head of Production and relevant stakeholders.

  • Maintain a centralised production performance database covering vendor quality, cost variances, rider compliance outcomes and operational lessons per show.

Your Checklist

  • 16+ years of experience in live event production in India and internationally; you have personally produced stadium concerts, multi-day festivals and multi-city touring shows — not managed vendors who did.

  • Deep working knowledge of entire life cycle of production

  • Proven track record of executing international artist riders from A-list global acts; you know what ‘preferred’ means versus ‘mandatory’ and how to brief unfamiliar local crew against international standards.

  • Strong experience managing intercity logistics on touring shows — equipment carnets, trucking timelines, advance city visits and the load-in / load-out overlap windows that define touring viability.

  • Demonstrated ability to read venue drawings and structural schematics; experience coordinating with structural engineers and safety inspectors on major builds.

  • Multi-crore production budget accountability with rigorous financial discipline and post-show P&L reconciliation experience.
